    Yup. Unfortunately, as I look at our crop of "Leaders" the world over, I'm actually pretty pessimistic. We seem to vote in the C+ students with the best glad-handing, instead of intelligent serious people who know how to plan, and create positive outcomes. I guess our edjukation system is to blam. Or someting.

    It's been here a long time. I first noticed it, with its shining promises and baleful portents in 1995. The Bells of The Tech Imperium began to ring in the year Darth Vendor unleashed the Charybdis named IE, and the first of the Siren Servers was spawned. The sea of chaos began to boil and foam in that year, with all its aggregations and cornflower blue shading. The people, beguiled, began to relinquish their data, their privacy, and their freedom at that time. Ladies and gentlemen, the plate has left the table, and we are all gasping in disarray as it whirls without discernable logic or meaning through the air on its way towards The End.
