That's bonkers. Just eat that much less!
ReplyDeleteNow, if it increases fibre in the diet or something, that would make sense.
Anyway, Indians mostly add fat/oil to the rice water when cooking, to make the grains separate instead of stick. So, no change in the cooking process, and no 'benefit'.
