MIT develops implantable fuel cell powered by glucose
Although the technology has been around since 1970s, MIT fuel cell is fabricated from silicon, using the same technology used to make semiconductor electronic chips. This feature allows it to be integrated with other circuits that would be needed for brain implant of the future.

That is amazing. Never even thought about that we could power implants with energy already in the body. What if we could implant a part that is constantly using energy so that people would loose weight?
ReplyDeleteSimon Bengtsson wow, that really a great idea! :) something to be investigated..
ReplyDeleteWell, its time for me to apply for MIT then ;)
