  1. As a computer programmer I have always told my co-workers that we will put everyone else out of a job, but we have to keep an eye on the AI people who will put us out of a job :)

    More seriously there is going to be a huge shift in how society and the economy works as technology reaches this level.  At the end of the day when robots can provide all of our needs the whole concept of needing to work for a basic living should/will go out of the window.

    The question that worries me is what will then happen to humanity.  Will we lose our ability to think, learn, and reason because there is no need or advantage to being smart ?
