What would you think about contact lenses that could display your text messages? Well, they exist.

Belgian researchers are developing a spherical curved LCD display that can fit onto contact lenses. This technology could cover an entire lens worth of text, images and other visuals.

    either i get these or i work up an flexible display inside my glasses and run an external wire to an iDevice hiding in my pocket.

    In the 90s a scientist was working on an alternative proposal: playing the Eyeball like a CRT screen.

    The proposal was to have glasses which project microscopic lasers in red green and blue colors which fire on specific retina cells, producing better than reality quality vision. Not sure what happenned to this.

    It was supposed to replace all screens by now.
